Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it (Matthew 7:13-14, NIV).
Welcome to The Narrow Path! I typically post a devotion on Friday’s, but due to some circumstances surrounding my schedule this week I was unable to get one done for yesterday. Instead, I want to take a moment now to share a snippet about myself, my journey, say thank you to my faithful followers, and welcome those of you who are new.
I am a small town, central Kentucky girl who loves Jesus, my family, sports, writing, serving others, and of course, the Kentucky Wildcats! I own my home and live in Nicholasville, KY where I’ve worked as a physical therapist for over ten years.
I am grateful to live in the community where I work as I am able to serve those around me while also receiving the blessing of how they share their gifts and talents with me.
I started my blog, The Narrow Path, in 2017 and began writing regularly in the spring of 2020 after being furloughed from my job during COVID for 3 months. Sometimes the storm plants a seed, and in this case, that was true for me!
Upon returning to work in the summer of 2020, I cut back my hours and committed to writing. Jesus has continually laid messages on my heart and given me words to share. It has become a spiritual practice that has blessed my life tremendously.
Many of you that are new followers may be here since hearing about the release of my first book, The Healing Path: A 30-Day Devotional to Help You Cross the Bridge from Hurting to Healing. My journey to write a book began on August 5, 2022. The Lord moved in unexpected ways and my book was published just 22 weeks later.
When I set out to write this book, I was very intentional that I wanted it to be a gentle invitation toward Jesus that could speak to every single heart.
Despite upbringing, religious background, experience in the church, etc. my prayer will remain that the reader find themselves immersed in words, stories, and scriptural truth that points them to our ultimate healer: Jesus Christ.
Thank you to all of you who have faithfully followed my journey and supported me every step of the way.
Thank you to those of you who are new here. I’m praying that you will continue to be blessed by the words the Lord places on my heart and be encouraged to follow the narrow path that leads to life.
You can find my new book online at Amazon or contact me via email to purchase a copy if you’re local to the central Kentucky area. Thank you, again, for choosing to spend a few minutes with me each week.
If you’ve purchased the book and have been blessed by what you’ve read I would like to ask that you prayerfully consider leaving a review on Amazon, or more importantly, sharing it with a friend.
